Diablo's version appears to work in a somewhat faithful way

With Diablo commemorating its 20th anniversary Blizzard's games are celebrating with their own unique ways. In the past, plans for World of Warcraft's anniversary celebration were less clear than others, and we're starting to get some idea of D2R Items.

Diablo's version appears to work in a somewhat faithful way. In an apparent nod to Diablo, Diablohead reports you'll need to track down a treasure goblin and defeat it and that's no easy task. After navigating through the portal it creates that will send you to a region with killer cows, including The Cow King. In the event of defeating this monster, you'll receive an item that is unique, and can be used to reward players with the Diablo's 20th Anniversary achievement. For a hell-ish touch the toy is equipped with A cooldown of 66 mins as well as 6 secs. You can watch a portion details of the cooldown in this video below.

The Cow King also drops other items that reference the Diablo games (like a Scroll of Town Portal and various charms) along with the treasure goblins. One item Diablohead claims to have datamined but not seen yet could be Stone of Jordan, which was a well-loved Diablo ring that served in the games' currency.

Items are dropped from the Cow King only once a day during the event which runs through January 11. The fact that you kill it won't affect your ability to return in that Cow Level, as was the case with Diablo's version.

Diablo's special event is going to be, as you'd expect, be the biggest, with a special dungeon recreating elements of the original game in the route this month.
